Design quality indicators
Issue date January 2020
Oxfordshire County Council expect that all projects over £200k in value will have a set of design quality indicators prepared at the start of the feasibility stage to inform the brief and to set down the aspirations and priorities to be integrated within the design solution. Scores will be set at 5/10 for a generic approach; where it is a very crucial statement it would receive 10/10 and where the statement is considered unimportant it would receive 1/10.
The tool shall be used by the service provider design team to self audit the development of design proposals at key stages. It will then be reviewed by the OCCCL at post occupancy evaluation to assess how well the brief has been delivered.
Design quality indicator form is to be used.
