Disposal - Crichel Down Rules

There are rules and procedures governing the sale of surplus local authority land which was acquired by, or under threat of, compulsion.


These procedures are contained in the Local Government Ombudsman guidance called 'Disposal of Land - Guidance on Good Practice 5'. A copy of the Guidance is attached at Authority to dispose of property (A003/2).

The procedures have been adopted by the council, subject to the exceptions contained in Section L Schedule Part (5) C (f) (ii) of the Constitution.
